We’re pushing the boundaries of sensor technology to become more lifelike.
NASA engineers said this about our sensor system it’s “certainly a worthwhile achievement”.
Optical Tactile Sensor
We have removed this last obstacle for robots to simulate each of the five human senses by developing the first touch sensor with more resolution sensitivity than that of human touch.
A human fingertip senses an object through 241 receptors per square centimeter. Former technologies could only provide tactile data with a resolution in the order of tens. Our technology supported with with over 100 patents gives us ability to increase the number of receptors to the order of millions.
In addition our 3 axes touch capability allows our sensor to have greater depth and feel of an object. Our sensor can sense any number of multiple objects even something as small as 0.1 gram simultaneously. it can also sense an item without actually touching it.
With other sensor systems there is data transmission loss when the sensor density is increased. Other sensor systems can become impossible or impractical due to high manufacturing costs when they try to increase density.
We use light sent through optical cables to send data. We can transfer over ten million sensor data points to a computer over only a single USB cable with no data loss. In addition our system is not affected by magnetic fields which makes its use ideal for aviation.
Magic Silicone
ur proprietary Magic Silicone is a thin two sided dark colored silicone. It can be manufactured in any uniform/non-uniform shape. It is essentially a touchpad that provides data when pressure is applied to it. It incorporates multiple layers containing different colored hidden pigments. When force or pressure stimuli is applied to the top side of the pad it allows the the hidden pigments on the bottom side to become visible via color intensity proportionally to the magnitude of the force applied.
By using a camera, fiberoptic cable and a computation the force map can be converted into digital data.
Magic Silicon can be used to replace or compliment mechanical switches such as window lifts, sunroofs, entertainment or HCAV systems. These pads can be incorporated into armrests in cars, planes, and spacecrafts. At its core Magic Silicone and transform regular surfaces into highly sensitive, multi-touch digital touch surfaces.
In fact it even works when you add a flexible layer on top such as fabric, vinyl or even leather. The magic happens when you convert for example a flexible material to the touchpad or a control surface. Magic Silicone for example would allow you to open car windows or sunroof by just sliding your fingers. One could control the multimedia system just touching the leather of an armrest.
Our Magic Silicone technology is unique in that it has the potential to radically change the interior design of automobiles an industry with great potential. We’ve already begun working with premium automotive brand and have potential to use this technology in many other markets such as robotics, medical and aviation and others.
